- Validity: Our quotes are valid for 14 days.
- Scope of Work: The price quoted covers the work specifically listed therein. Any "while you're here" extras will be priced and agreed upon separately.
- Site Visit: We reserve the right to amend a quote if the site conditions differ significantly from the initial estimate.
- Start Date: Start date is dependent on agreement with the client and is subject to the full availability of all required materials.
2. Payments & Deposits
- Deposits: A deposit of 20% of the total price is required to secure your booking. This is non-refundable if you cancel within 7 days of the agreed start date.
- Materials: Materials supplied by us must be paid for in full before they are ordered.
- Final Payment: The balance is due immediately upon completion. Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate.
3. Preparation & Site Requirements (Water/Electric/Parking)
- Utilities: The client must provide free and safe access to a continuous supply of clean water and a standard 240v electrical supply for the duration of the works.
- Parking: The client is responsible for providing or arranging suitable parking within a reasonable distance of the property. Any parking fees or permits must be paid for or provided by the client.
- Access: The work area must be cleared of furniture, appliances, and old floor coverings or any other obstacles unless "removal" is specified in the quote. If we are unable to start work due to lack of access or utilities, a "lost day" fee may apply.
4. Substrates & Underlying Issues
- The Surface: We are not responsible for the structural integrity of walls or floors. It is also assumed after initial visit that all substrates are reasonably plumb, level and straight. In the event that we discover any problems, e.g. damp, blown plaster, unstable screed, and/or uneven surfaces, etc… requiring rectification the work will stop so we can discuss the necessary remediation and/or repairs and any additional costs.
5. Client-Supplied Materials
- Quality & Quantity: Where the client is responsible for the supply of materials. All materials will be fit for purpose and of a suitable quality and in sufficient quantities for completion of the work.
- We are not liable for delays or wastage caused by broken, shaded, or warped tiles supplied by the client. Please ensure you have ordered at least 10% extra for cuts and waste.
- Missing Items: If work is paused or start date delayed because the client-supplied materials are insufficient or late, a re-attendance fee may apply.
6. ADP Tiling-Supplied Materials
- Tile Variations: The client acknowledges that tiles are inherently subject to variations in colour, shade, and size due to their manufacturing process. Such differences are considered normal and are not indicative of defect or non-conformity. The client shall not hold us liable for any discrepancies in colour, shade, or size that may occur between individual tiles or batches. The client accepts these variations as part of the natural characteristics of the tiles and agree that these do not constitute grounds for claims or returns. This clause aims to clarify that the aesthetic and dimensional inconsistencies are inherent to the product and do not affect its suitability for intended use.
7. Completion, Waste & Care
- Drying Times: We will advise on "walking-on" times. We are not liable for damage caused by premature foot traffic.
- Waste Disposal: Unless specified, we will neatly stack tile offcuts and packaging for your disposal. We do not remove trade waste unless a skip or disposal service is included in the quote.
- Dust & Protection: Tiling creates dust. While we take care, we recommend the client covers nearby furniture and seals any non-essential doorways before we arrive to ensure minimisation of dust incursion.
7. Your Right to Cancel (Consumer Contracts)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days of acceptance without giving a reason.
- How to Cancel: You must inform us via email at info@adptiling.co.uk
- Requesting an Early Start: If you require us to start work before the 14-day cooling-off period has ended, you must provide this request in writing. By doing so, you acknowledge that you will be liable for the cost of any work carried out up to the point of cancellation.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction This agreement and any dispute or claim arising out of it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You and ADP Tiling Ltd both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute.
